2018 and 2019 School Year Field Trips
Every school year, the Academy children have the opportunity to go on some amazing field trips. These are just a few from this year.
Annual All School Field Trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium
We had our annual all school field trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in October. No matter how many times the kids go, they always find something new and amazing to explore there!
2nd/3rd Grades go to the Santa Cruz Mission 11/5/18
They had a wonderful time today at the Santa Cruz Mission. The kids made adobe bricks, candles, and tortillas, along with new discoveries about the California missions, what life was probably like for the Neophytes who lived there, plus how the local Indians lives were changed by the Spanish visitors. (You might want to ask them and see how much they remember.) On Saturdays they provide special events which are open to the public. They provide guided walks, family crafts, and living history demonstrations – www.parks.ca.gov (Admission is always free)
